Old Japanese Restaurant off of Hwy 395 on the way to Mammoth Ski Resort?

On the way to Mammoth Lakes, CA there used to be a Japanese restaurant off of HWY 395. It burned down. Does anyone remember the name of the restaurant?
We found it! One of our friends mentioned Tokiwa’s. And it’s off of Hwy 14. I apologize for the confusion. Anyway, if you google the name it gives the history and how it burned down. http://www.mojaveroads.com/Tokiwa’s%20Page%201.html

It would REALLY help if you could remember what city the restaurant was in: Bishop, Lone Pine, Independence, or Big Pine. That’s a really long stretch of highway (over 200 miles), and would help our research. I’m pretty good at it, but don’t like chasing after jackalopes, if you know what I mean.

You could try contacting someone at the owens valley historical society, or the Inyo Register. Mike Bodine seems to be the local human interest reporter, so you should start with him: http://www.inyoregister.com/content/view/601/71/
