Skiing Tricks
Any techniques to improve my tree skiing?
I’m an expert Skier, but I’ve always been a really safe skier, and the thought of getting out of control and hitting a tree, then not being able to ski is unbearable.
So I don’t have a ton of experience skiing in trees, I can ski them ok, I’m just not tearing through them like my friends.
Is there a trick to skiing them? Or should I just get more time in the trees? I’m on teles if that matters at all
one thing ive found necessary to control speed in the trees is to, first off stop if your going so fast you don’t trust yourself to stop quick enough should something arise, but to stop that from happening i developed a technique. You’ll notice in well ski trees there are usually little banks leading up to trees. You need to hit those HARD. it controls your speed very well. all you have to do is as your coming down just get up on one of those and hop down to the next one then push off of it and keep skiing to the next one and do the same thing. I find it doesn’t let you build up enough speed to get out of control
